THERMAL OPPORTUNITIES



Afyon and Kutahya prevail in the thermal tourism in the Phyrgian Valley. The study conducted by TURSAB about the thermal facilities capacity shows that Afyon with 2 thousand 692 beds capacity is the third town of Turkey possessing the highest number of thermal beds after Denizli and Izmir. Kutahya is on the 9th rank with 846 beds.

Afyon owns four spas being Gazligol, Hudai, Heybeli, Omer and Gecek. All these thermals are declared "Tourism Centers" and the hotels of Orucoglu Thermal Hotel, Ikbal Thermal Hotel, Grand Ozer Hotel belonging to the private sector are found in these thermal springs.

Kutahya owning 6 Thermal Turion Merci heals local and foreign tourists with its rich thermal springs on a wide range of illnesses from rhumatism to the paralysis, gynecological illnesses to the neurological problems. Among these thermal centers, Ilica-Harlek Thermals Springs, Yoncali Thermal Springs, Emet-Yesil and Kaynarca Thermal Springs. Gediz-Ilicasu Thermal Springs, Simav-Eynal Thermal Springs and Gediz-Muratdagi Thermal Springs are provided with accomodation facilities.
